Augustus Cullen Law will host a one day birth injuries seminar, to raise funds for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

The seminar will take place in the Convention Centre in Dublin on 5th December from 10am to 4pm. Topics for discussion will include period payment orders versus lump sum payments, and the resulting effects on patients; birth injury litigation from the perspective of obstetricians; recent cases that have come before the courts; and issues and trends in medical negligence in Ireland.

Speakers at the seminar will include:

  • Alan Keating, Barrister
  • Professor Chris Fitzpatrick, former master of the Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital
  • Professor Declan O’Rourke, paediatric neurologist at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital
  • Sabrina O’Carroll, forensic and legal nursing consultant

Tickets for the event cost €180, with all proceeds from the event going to the Jack and Jill. The charity offers support, advocacy and an in-home nursing service to help children and their families under the age of five years who have or develop a significant neurodevelopmental delay involving severe learning difficulties.

Dear Joice… you are and have been very professional, sympathetic and dignified in all of your dealings with us and I put that down to one simple fact. You listened.

    James, Medical Negligence Client

Neil is an absolute gentleman to deal with – kind, tactful and very efficient. We could not praise him highly enough. He brought us through a horrible time.

    Sean, Medical Negligence Client

Many thanks again for a job well done. We really appreciate all your hard work and practical advice.

Corporate client in a commercial litigation matter

Dear Jamie, You and your team in ACL were so professional, diligent and prompt. I have recommended you and the firm, and will continue to do so.

    Lorraine McCarthy

Gus Cullen and the firm’s approach to addressing the key issues was professional, yet personal, efficient yet attentive.

The process is a difficult one and when you deal with people who are so professional and yet genuine/real people, it makes it so much easier... so thanks a million.
