Augustus Cullen Law has specialist knowledge and experience of cases involving eye surgery.  Advances in ophthalmic technology and laser eye surgery in particular have improved thousands of people’s eyesight in recent years. There are always risks involved with surgery however and some people have suffered the devastating experience of worsened sight following surgery. If you have suffered injury or loss of sight as a result of an eye operation or treatment, you may be entitled to compensation.

Our specialist team at Augustus Cullen Law is dedicated to thoroughly investigating potential new cases. We have an experienced, friendly and dedicated team who are used to dealing with clients who may still be distressed by their experiences and who, at times, may be unsure of what exactly has happened to them. We have access to the best ophthalmic medico-legal experts and you can be assured that you will receive the best quality legal advice available.

We recently acted for the plaintiff in a case against an ophthalmic surgeon who had mistakenly entered the wrong patient’s data in a laser machine at the time of the plaintiff’s laser eye surgery. The ophthalmic surgeon had entered the details of a patient with the same name but with a different address and date of birth. Following the surgery the plaintiff was rendered close to the technical definition of blindness for almost 6 months.  Augustus Cullen Law successfully brought proceedings on behalf of the plaintiff and negotiated a high value settlement for him.
