8 year old Luke received further
damages from the HSE because of the actions of Mullingar General Hospital in
mismanaging his birth which led to his brain damage in 2006. Luke now suffers with dyskinetic cerebal
palsy which affects his limbs and ability to walk and talk. Despite his physical disabilities Luke is
described by medical experts who examined him as a bright and engaging
boy. He now attends mainstream school
and recently came top of his class in his end of year maths test.
