In a recent interview, Joice Carthy, Managing Partner of Augustus Cullen Law Solicitors, told the Medical Independent that 'the very nature of Irish courts is they are adversarial and the proposed tribunal is a way to avoid the often terrifying courts process for patients.

'“I would welcome the fact that the women are being listened to and alternatives are being considered, but whether or not a tribunal is the best alternative, I wouldn’t be convinced of that yet. The devil will be in the detail,” she said.'
